Bats Perish, and No One Knows Why - New York Times
Our bats are in danger. A syndrome of unknown origin is causing bat populations in some bat hibernation areas to plummet. What can I say? As a child, these flying mammals captured my imagination with their abilities. To have a future where children do not know these amazing creatures is truly a depressing thought.
This may well be an anomaly, but as the days go by the threats to a variety of species come faster and faster.
