Sunday at Ft. Ben in Indy

Our friends Reb and Todd prepare to take the slope. After the most snow in four years, Nap Town Downers took the snow in stride. With lotsa of Baileys in Burnin' Hot Coffee.

Winter storm cools U.S. Valentine's ardor - Yahoo! News

Winter storm cools U.S. Valentine's ardor - Yahoo! News

Our friend Karen, who just had a birthday (see below), was recently interviewed by Reuters about the winter storm that hit the midwest on Valentine's Day. Unfortunately what she has to say is sad. The ice and snow ruined St. Valentine's Day for many businesses.

Two women born in '67: Anna Nicole Smith and Karen. One croaked. One successfully running her own business, married to an electro-vintner, and who knows how to do the chicken dance. (And she's not even from Cincinnati.)

Waiting for the Colts

Waiting for the parade in the 12 degree Hoosier air.

After watching the game in Zionsville, we had to drive home. Ab said "You take the helm." And I did. ANd downtown we went.

More downtown Indy pics. Honking horns and yelling fans. Zero degrees and that does not stop Hoosiers from basking in the glory.

I have watched the Bengals lose two times. I have watched the Colts fall down in the play-offs before. But today. Yes TODAY. Dungy, Manning, and Addai and everyone else have brought it on HOME. Hardwork does pay.

Some fans climbed on top of cars and danced in elation, while others wearing blue and white Colts jerseys posed for pictures with the giant statues on the monument. Traffic in downtown Indianapolis was at a near standstill.

Groundhog .org - the Official Site of the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club

Groundhog .org - the Official Site of the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club: "Phil Says Spring is Right Around the Corner!

Phil's official forecast as read 2/2/07 at 7:28 a.m. at Gobbler's Knob:

El Nino has caused high winds, heavy snow, ice and freezing temperatures in the west.
Here in the East with much mild winter weather we have been blessed.

Global warming has caused a great debate.
This mild winter makes it seem just great.

On this Groundhog Day we think of one thing.
Will we have winter or will we have spring?

On Gobbler's Knob I see no shadow today.
I predict that early spring is on the way."
