Me good buddy Gerk (&) when on a bat inventory safari at the Indianapolis Airport. Here he is seen banding the endangered bats so they will be easier to eat.
& is on the right.

Jeep: Are those special bat catching clothing you are wearing?

&: Those shorts are my normal Saturday night attire.

Jeep: What kind of flying meese are you after? What do you do with them when you are done studying them?

&: Those are Indiana Bats (Myotis sodalis). We're going to cook them in a stew (what did you think we were doing with them?). We're banding them and attaching radio transmitters so we can track where they are roosting and the distances they travel during the night.

Jeep: Well, thanks for your scientific expertise. I believe you will need to go home and wash up. Amby is wondering where you are.
