Today's lesson in lobbyists, consumerism and politics comes from the Center on Consumer Freedom. A center that claims to be for consumer rights and points fingers at activists of all types blaming them for scaring the public.

Now last time I was at a buffet here in Indianapolis, none of the 'consumers' there appeared afraid of bellying up to the steam table for a fresh load of calories and fat. And last time I saw a concert I came out smelling like a ham in one gross smelling smokehouse. But the Center on Consumer Freedom and the pack of lobbyists who run it would like people to think that all of these health facts are nothing more than hot air. And of course the folks on the advisory panel for CCF have nothing to gain for their respective companies: Philip Morris, the National Steak & Poultry Board, & Cargill Processed Meat Products.

Don't take my word for it. See for yourself how disinformation works.
