Smurfit-Stone Container Corp is shutting down its factory in Anderson. Another Indiana manufacturer shutters a factory. Over the last week two candy makers (Brach's and Fannie May) planned to close to factories in Chicago. Not great news during our current recovery.

The Anderson closing appears in a chain of recent factory closings across Indiana. The state of Indiana has lost over 150,000 jobs since 2000. Hopefully our President and Congress will do their best to make something better out of this jobless recovery.
